Today we are sharing more pictures from the hugely successful Paisley Food and Drink Festival.
Thousands of people turned out to the two-day event to sample some fantastic produce and street food from across Scotland at the weekend.
Buddies basked in the sunshine as they descended on Abbey Close and Bridge Street where 35 traders from near and far set up stalls to showcase foods from across the globe.
From artisan makers to speciality beers and drinks, there was something for everyone’s palate.
Renfrewshire’s favourite food and drink spots including Café Fairfull, Dark God Rum and Paisley Drinks Company featured amongst the line-up, as did Two Towns Down Brewing which created Mango No 5 especially for the festival. Long-term festival favourites The Keg had a special stage and bar on Bridge Street which hosted a brilliant array of bands playing live music.
Over the course of the weekend, there was a great selection of live musical entertainment including performances from local acts including RockUs Community Choir, Crawford Smith, Shaun Moore, Fèis Phàislig and live DJs.
The event received lots of positive comments on social media, with Suzanne writing on Facebook: “We had a brilliant day. It was good to see the town buzzing. Can it be on next weekend too?”
Paisley Food and Drink Festival is one of the highlights in Renfrewshire Council’s annual events calendar. Other fantastic events taking place across Renfrewshire this spring and summer include Renfrew Gala Day on Sunday, June 2, Barshaw Gala Day on Sunday, June 23, Sma’ Shot Day on Saturday, July 6, and the Renfrew Pipe Band Competition on Saturday, July 20.
