Your chance to WIN! In this feature we post a crafty question to our Facebook followers and choose a selection of the answers to publish with the star answer winning themselves a crafty prize - this time these fabulous Nuvo Brush Script pen sets! This month we asked… “With spring on its way we might be thinking of giving our craft spaces a spring clean, especially as we might have been using them a lot recently! So we’re asking, what is your best tip for sorting out your craft stash?”

Tidy your craft space, change how you categorise your stash and re-discover the hidden gems that may have been hiding in plain sight.

Adina Ridgeon Congratulations Adina, you have been chosen as our star answer and the winner of these brilliant pen sets! We’ve loved your idea about re-categorising your stash!

I have a good sort out, decide what I need to recycle, then put it all back again as one day I just might need it!

Kathy Beatty

I sort through my stuff once a year. Your taste changes with time. I save it all for a sale. Whatever doesn’t sell I give to kids in the area so they can learn new stuff. Christine A Stoker-Elliott

Recycle stuff to local schools, older persons day centres etc.

Try not to hoard stuff ‘just because' in the first place.

Susan Jane Caraccio

Best tip..... use it! Naomi Thomson

Take a good look at what you have if you haven’t used it or intend to use it, toss it or give to community groups to use...especially if it is a craft you are no longer doing or have lost interest in...it could be a good starting point for someone who would like to try it but can’t afford to start...my downfall is I can’t seem to toss paper scraps no matter how small! Lavern Melanson

Sometimes a tidy up uncovers lots of stuff you have forgotten about or have been keeping for that special occasion. After the year we have all had just enjoy finding it again, it might kick start your mojo. After all we cannot visit the craft stores at the moment, so use and enjoy everything you find. Grace Ross

My best tip for sorting craft stash is if it’s old, creased, bent, or even dried up pens, and you have not used it for years you are unlikely to use it so throw it away. If it’s something that you have not used or not likely to use either sell it or give it to a charity shop, that goes for old magazines charity shops can always sell craft magazines as long as they are whole and in reasonably good condition.

Margaret Davies

I don’t do this because when I give or throw something away I need it a few days later. So not a good idea!

Godelieve Dhoore

If you haven’t used it in a few months put it in a box and donate to one of the local kindergartens or schools for kids to use!
