DUCATI 748 BIPOSTO SIMON MURRAY
Ducati 748/853, Pierobon 1098R, Suzuki GSX-R1100, Fireblade and Daytona 955i.
THIS IS my Ducati 748, bought as a Biposto in standard trim eight years ago and improved every winter as and when funds allow.
It now has Marchesini wheels and an STM slipper clutch. I had the forks rebuilt by Revs Suspension, and an Öhlins shock fitted. It has Ducabike adjustable clip-ons, a Brembo RCS brake master cylinder, an Oberon clutch slave cylinder and Ducati Performance replica rearsets. It has a single seat unit with a Raceseat seat pad, plus a Ducati Performance front mudguard.
But the most important change is the 853cc engine I fitted in the winter of 2016. The engine was built at great expense (to someone else) by Jeff Green, formerly of G-Tech. As many folk say, it’s the best engine Ducati never built. It spins up so easily and has a lovely amount of power for road use. I also have some Cyclecat rearsets to fit when the weather improves.
