LEE BROGDON 2016 KAWASAKI ZX-10R
This month’s best reader specials
JUST GOT THE latest copy of the mag and had a read of the feature with the ZX-10RR and SE. Reading Johnny’s verdict at the end of how he thought the money might be better spent on the standard version, I thought I’d send in a pic of my bike as I’ve probably spent SE money on it by now. I bought it new as the Performance model then had it decatted and a Woolich ECU flash enabling the autoblipper. It made 195bhp on the dyno.
Since then it’s had a set of Gilles VCR rearsets, I’ve shortened the gearing, fitted an MWR air filter, K-Tech DDS Pro rear shock, OZ Gass forged wheels, a Samco hose set, a Domino quick-action throttle and lately Maxton GP30 fork cartridges. To say I’m happy with the outcome is an understatement. I would have liked to own a ZX-10RR but I’m not a fan of the matt black colour so I’ve tried to make a better bike out of the standard model and I don’t think I’ve done badly. Don’t be letting Rutter beat that Kawasaki lap time soon! (er, sorry. See p16 - JM)
