Feeling hot, hot, hot...

Performance Bikes (UK) - - RACE LEGEND -

THE HEATWAVE OF 2018 was in full swing, with the air temperature a scorching 34-36°C. There wasn’t a breath of wind as the Donington Park tarmac baked in the wall to wall sunshine. The combination of the high track and air temperature made it physically hard work for Rutter, and more so for the tyres. We dropped the rear tyre pressures to just 20psi to compensate for the extreme heat of the day and power of the bikes, once Rutter reported the rear grip to be in short supply after only a couple of laps. The lower than normal pressure (28psi) did the trick.
