2019 ELECTRIC MOTOGP SERIES SHAPES UP
MotoGP’s zero-emission support series will be a five-round championship for its first season in 2019. Current MotoGP satellite teams Tech 3, LCR, Pramac, Avintia and Nieto will field a pair of bikes each, and six further single-bike teams are also set to be announced. The Energica Ego Corsa is the control bike for the series: they’ll run for seven to 10 laps depending on circuit length for the first season. Bradley Smith could potentially feature: with his full-time MotoGP career ending and him taking up a test rider role for Aprilia, he could be free on race weekends to compete in the inaugural leccy championship.
