baked to perfection
Nothing beats the mouthwatering smell and taste of freshly baked goods from a coal-fired range, and at Beamish, the living museum of the north, you can find this out first hand. In the cosy period setting of the museum’s Home Farm kitchen, you can spend a relaxed evening (period costume optional) getting to know the secrets of traditional home baking with help from the museum’s food team. MAKEA BASKETSpend the day in south Wales weaving your own unique Zarzo willow basket. Led by experienced weaver Sarah Hatton, the course takes place on Saturday 16 February and costs £95, including a homemade lunch and all tools and materials. No experience is necessary.
