Introducing Palampore, the latest collection from Lewis & Wood inspired by decorative textiles from 18th-century India. Comprising three fabric designs and a wallpaper, the collection took one particular textile as its focus: an exquisite handpainted chintz palampore made on the Coromandel Coast and now held in the V&A archives. Featuring a cornucopia of flowers, fruits, and heraldic crests, the ornate motifs have been carefully observed by Lewis & Wood’s designers and reimagined into a range of beautiful prints – Coromandel, Hindi Rose and Palampore.
