curated collection
This month, the Tate Modern is opening the first major retrospective of innovative French painter Pierre Bonnard in 20 years. Bringing together over 100 of his greatest works from museums and private
collections across the globe, Pierre Bonnard: The Colour of Memory intends to highlight the artist’s use of intense colours and modern compositions that helped shape the course of art in the first half of the 20th century. Subjects include landscapes and private domestic scenes, including this rarely shown Door Opening onto the Garden
painting. 23 January – 6 May; admission £18 or free for members.
