italian inspired
Classic bathroom manufacturer Burlington has launched Medici, a collection of time-honoured designs crafted in subtle, warm ivory-coloured ceramic. Originally introduced as a luxury bathroom colour in 1929, Ivoire de Medici is said to ‘have brought the warmth of sunlight to bathroom décor’. This ‘mellow tint of old ivory’ was first achieved by Italian potters who worked under the patronage of the famous de Medici family in Florence. Drawing inspiration from the styles of the era, the new range introduces an updated approach to using the finish. Shown is the classic rectangular basin with pedestal (left) and chrome stand, both £628.
simply chic
A fresh white kitchen never goes out of style and this latest French White addition to Benchmarx Kitchens’ Sherwood range is perfect for a classic, neutral backdrop that can be reinvented time and time again. The white has a softer finish than many brilliant white options so it lends itself well to period homes. There is also a new dresser option that has been added to the collection, which ensures you can create a focal point in the room without losing worktop space. From £1,650 for an eight-unit kitchen (excluding worktops, appliances, sink and taps).
