ON THE MEND

I’m writing this while lying in a hospital bed, having been rushed in last night. Thankfully I’m now much better. I arrived without a thing and my husband couldn’t stay with me, but a lovely lady lent me her phone so that I could call him. He had spent the night in the car park, waiting for an update, and this morning dropped off a bag of fresh clothes along with a copy of Period Living. On the cover, he had written ‘I love you’. It was such a sweet gesture, I will treasure it forever. I can’t wait to get home, but this issue will keep me going for a while.
