THE PL TREATMENT
We are very fortunate to live in a lovely part of the country and are surrounded by many period homes; but ours is a 1964 bungalow, which we bought 20 years ago. It was a terrible mess and needed to be completely refurbished – which we did on a strict budget – and there are still things to do. Much like Laura and Andy Yates’ home in the May 2021 issue (pictured), we take the approach of mixing family heirlooms with fleamarket and antiques finds, as well as hand-me-downs and buys from sales outlets and local shops. We love the mismatched look and while the bones of our home aren’t old, inside is a treasure trove of our own wonderful things, most of them not costing a small fortune. Linda Stocks
