First impressions count, and as the first space guests see, the hallway sets the tone for the house beyond. Banisters, console tables and door frames all present opportunities for festive embellishments that will ring in the Yuletide spirit. Keeping your hallway tidy is key to creating a welcoming atmosphere all year round. However, with so many people coming and going, this gets harder in the run up to Christmas. Make sure you have somewhere to store coats and shoes, and take luggage to bedrooms as soon as guests arrive.
