Little elves help out food bank

Kind kids give to those in need this Christmas

Perth Foodbank has thanked two kind-hearted Perth youngsters for their generous Christmas donation.

Letham primary pupil PJ (8) and his brotherTom­mi (3) were inspired by a festive character called‘Jerry the Elf’.

Mum Stacey Campbell (28) - who really is‘Jerry the Elf’- fromTweeds­muir Road: “Every day throughout December we have had one of Santa’s little helpers ‘Jerry the Elf’visit us to bring some festive fun for my children.

“First he baked them Christmas biscuits, then encouraged them to dress up for‘Elves gotTalent’.

“Finally he left a note explaining how some people don’t have enough food and rely on the local foodbank to help them out. He also wrote a shopping list of the things the foodbank need for those in need.”

And the boys didn’t hesitate to get to the shops to help out.

Stacey added:“My boys were so excited to go shopping with their list and scan all

the items through the checkout.”

“The ladies at the foodbank were so happy and praised my children for their kindness and thoughtful­ness for those in need at Christmas - and gave them an advent calendar to share to share.

“I am so proud of my children for helping those in need, especially at this time of year which can be very sad and lonely for some.”
