Carnoustie impress Swifts boss

-

Jeanfield Swifts v Carnoustie last 14 league games. It’s a quite remarkable record given their poor start.

“A huge amount of credit has to go to their management team for turning their season around and we must look to that example as something we must try and achieve in our last 10 games.”

Meanwhile, the Swifts boss confirmed that the club will not be appealing a controversial red card picked up by Lee Deans last week.

Explaining the decision, he said: “We thought about appealing the sending off to be honest as Lee himself feels very aggrieved.

“The problem is you get into a ‘he said, she said’ battle and the ERSJFA will always come down on the side of the referees.

“Unfortunately, like Saturday, we will just have to accept the decisions regardless if they are correct or not.

“But as I said previously, the players must use the sense of injustice to motivate themselves. Not in an aggressive manner, but a determined and focused manner.”

Jeanfield currently sit third from bottom of the Super League after 20 games. Kick-off at the Riverside is 2.30pm on Saturday.
