Common Weal Perth and Kinross Common Weal Perth and Kinross next meets at 6:45pm on Wednesday, May 31 at Blend Coffee Lounge, 274 High Street, Perth, for “coffee, cake and conversation” on various aspects of current affairs and politics. All are welcome to come along and take part. A draw from correct returns was made on May 23 by Rhona Johnston of Tullibardine Road and witnessed by Eleanor Aitken of D and R Johnston shoe shop. 119 quiz sheets were returned, 88 of which were correct. Incorrect returns all had the same mistake of interpreting OACEMNR as ‘Cameron’. The correct answer is ‘Malcolm Canmore’; there is a poet named Malcolm Cameron, but he is Canadian and therefore inadmissible. Income from the quiz totalled £330 after prize money had been deducted.
