The Enchanted Forest is entitled Oir an Uisge for 2017 Tickets for this autumn’s much-awaited tourist booster – the Enchanted Forest – are to go on sale in two weeks.

Organisers of the popular sound and light show have made 70,000 tickets available for the 2017 show, entitled Oir an Uisge, Scots Gaelic for‘Edge of the Water’.

Enchanted Forest, at Faskally Wood near Pitlochry, is due to open to the public on Thursday, September 28 and end on Sunday, October 29.

Proceeds from the first night will benefit three charities – Tayside Mountain Rescue, Alzheimer Scotland and Giraffe.

More than 70,000 visitors attended last year’s show - a 13 per cent increase on the previous record-breaking year.

For 2017 Saturday nights are all but sold out and customers are advised to book early to avoid disappointment, with organisers predicting the event will sell out before opening night for the first time in its history.

Ian Sim, chairman of The Enchanted Forest Community Trust, said:“Every year The Enchanted Forest lights up the countryside of Perthshire and boosts our local tourist trade.

“But it also lights up the lives of the Scottish community through our charity donations, and as a charitable trust that is what we are here to do. We’re delighted to be able to direct proceeds towards three highly important organisations in Tayside and Scotland.

“As the show goes from strength to strength, so our charitable net widens, which is extremely heartening.”

Tickets will be on sale to the public from Friday, June 16 at 10am at www.enchanted forest.org.uk. Tickets for the Charity Night on Thursday, September 28 can be booked at www.enchantedforest.org. uk/charity
