MacLeanto missmatch

“It can’t be worse than the Armenia trip because we went out of the competition. We were just hoping to avoid a long trip.

“It’s a good draw but in terms of them being an unknown quantity it does make it more difficult.

“Another negative with this draw is that they are halfway through their season, which makes a massive difference.

“In terms of targets we will just take it round by round.

“You never know what kind of draw you are going to face. It can be the luck of the draw

“You go to win the two games, not to play for a draw. I go into every game trying to win it so it doesn’t matter to me whether we’re home or away first.

“I was involved in the home game against Alashkert.

“I hadn’t really settled into the club and didn’t take the whole experience in.

“This time I’m looking forward to it a lot more, I’ve been at the club for two years, so it’s something I’m going to relish.”

Saints have been put through their paces since returning for pre-season, with a Largs training camp followed up by St Andrews this week.

Cummins said:“Pre-season has been going well. You need matches to get into full sharpness but I feel everyone has come back in good shape.

“You aren’t going to lose much fitness in three weeks. Our first week in Largs saw some really good sessions and no one looked off the pace.”
