Pupils from around Perth and Kinross who were ambassadors for heritage have been praised by Culture Perth and Kinross.
The charitable group held its annual celebration for Young Heritage Ambassadors at Perth Museum and Art Gallery last Friday.
Pupils from Blairgowrie High School, Breadalbane Academy, Crieff High School, Coupar Angus Primary School and the Royal School of Dunkeld were officially recognised as Young Heritage Ambassadors for projects they have been involved in this past year, many of which have been funded by the Gannochy Trust Living Communities Participation Fund.
One of the heritage projects, which is currently on at Perth Museum and Art Gallery, is the Voices from the River exhibition. Pupils from Coupar Angus Primary School worked with artist Frances Law to produce art work and oral history for the exhibition.
The event also saw a new awards programme for Young Heritage Ambassadors will be launched at the celebration event.
Rebecca McClune, Heritage Learning Officer at Culture Perth and Kinross, said: “We are excited to be celebrating the Young Heritage Ambassadors again this summer.
“We hope the Scheme will continue to encourage young people across Perth and Kinross to explore their local heritage, develop new skills and meet interesting members of their community along the way.
“It’s easy for anyone to get involved, and we look forward to celebrating even more projects this time next year.”
