Festive licensing confirmed

-

Perth and Kinross Licensing Board has now determined the Festive Period for licensed premises.

Where licensed premises have referenced their desire within their Operating Plan, they are not required to apply for extended hours from Friday, December 8, to Tuesday, January 2.

Premises wishing to trade for both festive social demand and festive function hours must have both included in their operating plans.

Festive social demand (core) hours will be available to 12.45am seven days a week, where premises’ main activity is the provision of alcohol, such as pubs.

Festive function hours will be available to 1.30am seven days a week. These apply to premises with a function room and offering “suitable live entertainment”as part of the function.

Events covered by these hours include dances, discos, dinner– dances and parties where a disco or band is provided.

Additionally, pre-booked Christmas parties may benefit from festive function hours from Friday, December 1, to January 2.

Festive entertainment hours will permit nightclubs to open until 2.30am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and until 3am between December 8 and January 2.

On Christmas Eve and Hogmanay the festive entertainment hours will be available until 3am.

Where premises do not include the information in their operating plans, they must apply to the licensing board for extended hours as soon as possible.

Applications should be submitted to Perth and Kinross Council via www.pkc.gov.uk/article/15592/ Alcohol-licences
