Lots coming to fill the Theatre in Pitlochry

-

Theatre in Pitlochry gets off to a great new season start with the world première of Compton Mackenzie’s classic, comedic novel The Monarch Of The Glen opening later this week. Running for three weeks, this stage adaptation is perhaps most familiar to many through the much loved BBC TV series, but from Thursday Perthshire audiences can expect a knockout set by Ken Harrison and a cast drawn from TV and stage, under the direction of award-winning director Richard Baron.

This sporran-swinging romp blends Tom Sharpe and PG Wodehouse in a madcap mix of kilts, ramblers and politics.

Then opening on Friday, December 1 is the follow up to last year’s stunning production of Scrooge! - is the all-singing, all-dancing Singin’In The Rain.

One of the best movie musicals ever made and certain to be yet another PFT festive extravaganza. Transport for those coming from further afield is not a problem with Rabbie’s, the luxury coach operator, providing scheduled return trips
