The endurance star took on the flat but hot Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon in a time of 4:57:53.

While Peter was flying the flag abroad, green vests were travelling across Scotland in search of personal bests.

Caroline Ness completed the Waterway 30, a 32-mile ultramarathon in the rural countryside of Nottinghamshire. She finished the race in 8:12:13.

The long distance running continued with a team of six runners participating in The Devils Burden. The relay race over 31km consists of four legs.

Lisa Aikman, Rachel Roberts, Dave Sinclair, Daile Sipple, Andy Wilson and Paul Grace made up the team of green vests and completed the race in a time of 4:39:17.

Over in Buchlyvie, four road runners lined up to run the 10km.

On Sunday, Fiona Morrison and Robin Wombill travelled down to the border to take part in the X Border 10k.

As the name suggests, the race takes the runners across the England and Scotland border. Fiona finished the race in 1:13:31 followed by Robin in 1:14:18.

Also on Sunday seven members of the club took part in the second of the Skull Mountain Series - a cold and muddy four-mile race.
