Deniesdamaging ‘high-value’cars

Perthshire Advertiser - - FRONT PAGE -

A Perth man maintained his not guilty plea to six charges of vandalising high-value cars parked at a local medical centre near his home.

The incidents are alleged to have taken place between May 15 and October 13 last year and are said to have involved a BMW 4 Series model, a Land Rover, a Volvo, another BMW and two Audis.

Forty-six-year-old Richard Bekier, of St Catherine’s Road, will return to Perth Sheriff Court for trial on April 30.

An earlier hearing was fixed for April 26.

He is accused of using an unknown implement to score the bodywork or damage the paintwork of the first five vehicles which were parked at the Perth City Medical Centre, Caledonian Road, Perth, between May 15 and October 28.

The final charge allegedly happened at the Caledonian Medical Practice, Kinnoull Causeway, on October 13, when it is claimed he scratched the front, quarter-panel of one of the Audis.
