The hit mu­si­cal‘Spa­malot’will be staged in Perth this week by Ad-Lib The­atre Arts.

Ad-Lib, which is based in Perth city cen­tre, will be tak­ing to the stage to per­form the com­edy show­case at North Inch Com­mu­nity Cam­pus from Thurs­day, April 19 un­til Satur­day, April 21.

Writ­ten by Eric Idle,‘Spa­malot’is “lov­ingly-ripped off”from the Monty Python clas­sic‘The Holy Grail’, telling the tale of King Arthur as he trav­els around the king­dom in search of the elu­sive Holy Grail.

The mu­si­cal, which is be­ing staged in the Fair City for the first time, will in­clude all Monty Python’s clas­sic songs, in­clud­ing‘Al­ways Look on the Bright Side of Life’,‘Brave Sir Robin’and ‘Knights of the Round Ta­ble’.

Vic­to­ria Rice, the mu­si­cal’s cre­ative di­rec­tor, said:“Ad-Lib is de­lighted to present the hi­lar­i­ous mu­si­cal Spa­malot. A new mu­si­cal lov­ingly ripped-off from the mo­tion pic­ture Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

“Whether you are a Monty Python fan or not, this pro­duc­tion will have you laugh­ing from cur­tains up to fi­nale.”

A per­for­mance will be held at 7pm each night, and there will be a Satur­day mati­nee per­for­mance at 1pm.
