A Perthshire man faces trial on May 1, accused of attacking another patron in a Perth nightclub and scarring him for life.
Twenty-eight-year-old Nicholas Campbell, now of High Street, Auchterarder, maintained his not guilty plea to the charge at his latest hearing at Perth Sheriff Court.
Previously of South Methven Street, Perth, he denied that on August 12, 2016, at The Loft, South Street, he assaulted Samuel Brown by pushing him on the body and repeatedly punching him on the head, to his injury and permanent disfigurement.
A second charge alleges that he failed, without reasonable excuse, to turn up at the Perth court on September 13 after being made subject to a police undertaking to appear.
Campbell had his bail continued meantime.
