Balbeggie school reunion date

-

A school reunion in Balbeggie has been planned for next month.

Pupils who attended Balbeggie Primary School in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s are being encouraged to go along to the school reunion, which will take place from 7pm on Saturday, May 3 in the Macdonald Arms.

It is hoped as many former pupils as possible will attend the get-together, and organisers say there will be a finger buffet provided as well in the village pub.

Ahndi Gardiner, one of the organisers, said:“It will be a school reunion for those who were at Balbeggie Primary School in the‘60s, ‘70s and‘80s on Saturday, May 3 in the Macdonald Arms.

“There has not ever been a primary school reunion. Every so often a few of us get back together, but lots of people have moved away from the village over the years.

“Initially we thought it should just be for our year because a few of us keep in touch, but we thought it should be opened up because Balbeggie is not a big school.

“We want to get as many people as possible to come along and find out what’s been happening.”

Those who are interested in joining the Balbeggie Primary School reunion can also find out more about the event on their Facebook page.

All who attended the school are welcome to go along to the school reunion at the Macdonald Arms in the village.
