An amazing archive of one of Perthshire’s best-loved landmarks has gone on sale.

The limited edition book‘The Story of MacRosty Park’has been many years in the making and contains a plethora of information, stories and photographs linked to the iconic Crieff greenspace.

Former chair of Friends of MacRosty Park, Pat Campbell, has compiled the volume, carrying on the work of the group’s late secretary Margaret Littlejohn.

The book is full of history, stories and photos, many of which few will have seen before.

Pat paid tribute to Margaret Littlejohn, former secretary of the Friends group who gathered all the information with the intention of producing a book before she died suddenly in 2013.

Pat said:“This is Margaret’s book. I have been given the privilege to finish it for her but the vast majority is all her research taken from old Crieff Town Council minutes, back copies of the Strathearn Herald and Perth and Kinross Council records dating back over 100 years.

“Margaret also researched the history of the MacRosty family.”

The book is available via www. thestoryofmacrostypark.co.uk or by calling Pat on 07739 280742.

There is also a Facebook page which can be accessed by searching for‘The Story of MacRosty Park Book’.
