En route from John O’Groats to Land’s End on his Brompton folding bike, prize-winning baritone David Jones pauses to perform Vaughan Williams’ Songs of Travel alongside folksongs from his journey. Song Cycle is in support ofYehudi Menuhin’s charity Live Music Now.

Since becoming a finalist in the BBC Scotland’s Young Traditional Musician of the Year competition in 2013, Hannah’s own music has taken a step away from traditional and towards contemporary, to include a wide range of genres. Tickets £10, plus £1.50 booking fee. Children free of charge.

Val McDermid is one of the most prolific names in crime writing. Her novels have been translated into 30 languages, selling more than 14 million copies worldwide.

DRESDEN PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA
With Jennifer Pike (violin), conducted by Michael Sanderling, they will play Weber - Euryanthe Overture, Bruch - Violin Concerto No1 in G minor Op 26 and Shostakovich - Symphony No5 in D minor Op 47.
In 1989 at the age of 12 violinist Jennifer became the youngest winner of the BBC Young Musician of the Year and the youngest major prize-winner in the Menuhin International Violin Competition.
