Bosses at the racecourse are expecting this week’s Ladies Day to be a sell-out.

In what is one of the most anticipated fixtures in Perth Racecourse’s calendar, almost 7,000 glamorous racegoers are expected to attend the Totepool Ladies Day on Thursday, May 17, following an evening meet the day before.

Incentives to dress to impress come in the form of a £2,000 cash prize for the Holland Cooper Grand Lady, as well as £750 of vouchers for best dressed male and prizes for best headwear.

And renowned Ibiza acts Lovely Laura and Ben Santiago will be entertaining the crowds on the main stage after the racing.

Hazel Peplinski, chief executive of Perth Racecourse, said:“The summer sunshine is getting everyone in the mood for more racing and we can’t wait for our double helping of fantastic fixtures this week.

“Totepool Ladies Day has again generated huge interest and anticipation and with so much happening on and off the track there is terrific value to be enjoyed. We’ve invested significantly in our racing this season including for Totepool Ladies Day and that is being reflected by support from some of the UK’s major trainers.

“There’s lots of entertainment before and after racing with Lovely Laura and Ben Santiago the highlight to help racegoers dance on into the summer night.”
