This service is open to anyone over the age of 18 that does not require complex personal care. Trained and friendly staff will carry out an assessment before the first visit to ensure the needs of the cared for and equally the carer are fully understood and met. If you are caring for someone with complex needs or are looking for services available for those under 18 years of age we urge you to get in touch to discuss this with our staff. We try to address the non-medical issues which impact on people’s lives, with the focus on self-management. A variety of topics are covered at the sessions, including understanding chronic pain and managing flare ups and individuals can contribute to the discussion. The focus is on building
that help people gain control and live more effectively with their pain and is also an opportunity to meet others in the same situation.

Perth and Kinross Carers’ Support Project Our service in Tayside was launched in 1992 and provides support to individuals who care for or support people experiencing mental ill health. When we use the word ‘carer’, we refer to anyone who has a relationship with someone who is experiencing mental health conditions. The services of the project are completely free and confidential.
