Pitlochry Weightlifting Club members endured mixed fortunes at the British Championships in Coventry.
Rowan Morrogh Bernard was unsuccessful with her three attempts of 60kg in the snatch and was eliminated from the 58kg class.
But there was better news in the British Development competition when her younger sister Rosie won a third British title. She scooped the 48kg under-13 class with personal bests of 23kg in the snatch and 32kg in the clean and jerk for a 127 biddle points total.
There was success in the 48kg U11 class with Eve Kemp winning her first British title - snatching 23kg and jerking 33kg for a 128 biddle points total. All of these were personal bests.
In the British Masters Open, Alex Phillips won the silver medal in the 94kg (55 to 59 years) class, with a 51kg snatch and a 72kg jerk for a 123kg total.
Gill Morrogh Bernard, Rosie and Rowan’s mum, was sitting her level three referee exam - and passed. Gill is now one level away from becoming an international referee.
