Two men face13 charges
to have obtained two bottles of alcohol (worth £26.30) from the Co-op in Rannoch Road, cigarettes and alcohol (£23.79) from McColls, almost next door, and alcohol and cigarettes (£45.90) from the Crieff Road branch of Tesco, all on July 26.
Dawson’s string of fraudulent transactions is said to have continued that same day at the Co-op in West Mains Avenue where he is accused of obtaining alcohol, cigarettes and a phone top-up (£38.75).
On July 27, the pair have been charged with entering an insecure vehicle in Perth’s Gleneagles Road and stealing a set of keys and the same day are said to have forced open a locked car in Gleneagles Road with intent to steal.
On July 27, it is further alleged they both entered another insecure vehicle in Glenbruar Crescent and stole a fuel card and a personal digital assistant.
On July 27, at the South Inch, they have been accused of entering yet another insecure vehicle, while acting with others, and stealing a gym bag and its contents, headphones and a set of keys.
It is also alleged that on July 31, at Raeburn Park, Perth, they both stole £30 from another insecure vehicle.
The final charge alleges that again on July 31, at Raeburn Park, while acting with others, they stole tools, aftershave, photographs and two pairs of sunglasses from another insecure car.
Dawson is said to have been subject to a May 14, 2018, bail order from the Perth court at the time of the alleged catalogue of crime.
