Path diversion to make way for development
Work on a new housing development in Perth began yesterday.
Stephen Homes began their West Woodlands development in Cherrybank on Monday, August 13 to create 46 new homes.
To make way for the housing development, a new road will be constructed from the Glasgow Road over Scouring Burn.
This will involve a temporary closure of the footpath next to the burn for around six months.
A spokesperson for Stephen said: “In order to access the development, a new road will be constructed from the Glasgow Road across the Scouring Burn.
“To enable this road construction to take place a temporary closure of the existing footpath which passes through the site adjacent to the Scouring Burn will be required.
“It has been agreed with Perth and Kinross Council to divert this footpath via the existing north footway on the north side of the Glasgow Road.
“The diversion will commence in approximately four to six weeks time and remain in place for approximately six months.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused to users of this path but ask that they bare with us whilst we construct this new access road.”
The spokesperson added: “West Woodlands will consist of 46 new homes and provides a mix of accommodation which includes two bedroom cottage apartments, two and three bedroom semi-detached villas, four bedroom detached villas and two bedroom detached bungalows.”
