Man in­jured in fall from wall

were still watch­ing where the man fell on Tues­day morn­ing A man was un­der­stood to still be re­cov­er­ing in hospi­tal yes­ter­day af­ter plum­met­ing around five me­tres from a wall in Perth at the start of the week.

Po­lice Scot­land con­firmed that a man was taken to hospi­tal af­ter fall­ing from the wall in St Leonard’s Bank late on Bon­fire Night, but could not say what he had been do­ing prior to the fall.

Of­fi­cers taped off the area where it is be­lieved the man fell and at least one con­sta­ble was still watch­ing the site within a van on Tues­day morn­ing to make sure that no-one crossed the line.

The sec­tion of wall it is un­der­stood the man fell from could only have been ac­cessed from ei­ther plat­form one of Perth Rail­way Sta­tion or an ad­ja­cent yard for­merly oc­cu­pied by Arnold Clark.

A spokesper­son said on be­half of lo­cal of­fi­cers:“Po­lice Scot­land at­tended at St Leonard’s Bank, Perth at 9.20pm on Mon­day, Novem­ber 5 af­ter re­ports that a man had fallen from a wall.

“The man was taken to hospi­tal for treat­ment, his in­juries are not life threat­en­ing.

“En­quiries are on­go­ing to es­tab­lish the full set of cir­cum­stances.”

No other of­fi­cial up­date had been sent to the PA prior to go­ing to press yes­ter­day.
