Police Scotland confirmed that a man was taken to hospital after falling from the wall in St Leonard’s Bank late on Bonfire Night, but could not say what he had been doing prior to the fall.
Officers taped off the area where it is believed the man fell and at least one constable was still watching the site within a van on Tuesday morning to make sure that no-one crossed the line.
The section of wall it is understood the man fell from could only have been accessed from either platform one of Perth Railway Station or an adjacent yard formerly occupied by Arnold Clark.
A spokesperson said on behalf of local officers:“Police Scotland attended at St Leonard’s Bank, Perth at 9.20pm on Monday, November 5 after reports that a man had fallen from a wall.
“The man was taken to hospital for treatment, his injuries are not life threatening.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full set of circumstances.”
