Return oftree festival
One Perthshire community is getting ready for its annual Christmas tree festival.
The sixth annual Christmas tree festival at Pitlochry’s Church of Scotland will take place on Saturday, December 1 from 10am until 4pm, and Sunday, December 2 from 2pm until 4pm.
The tree festival is a chance for local businesses, voluntary organisations, charities, families and individuals to decorate a real or artificial tree and have it on display inside the church on Church Road.
Trees can reflect a chosen charity, and will be displayed throughout the two days.
Money raised from the festival this year will go to Help for Heroes and Penumbra, a mental health charity.
The weekend will also conclude with a Christmas carol concert in the church on Sunday, December 2 at 6.30pm to celebrate the end of the Christmas tree festival.
During the festival, the church’s Tryst will have a festive craft and produce market with refreshments on the Saturday from 10am until 4pm.
Santa may even make an appearance at the Tryst’s festive market.
