World of Work author talk

Pauline Tait signs a picture of her drawn by a pupil Youngsters at Pitlochry Primary found out all about how to become a children’s book author last week.

Pauline Tait, who started writing fairy stories after years as a teaching support worker, was in the school speaking to P5 to P7 during their World of Work Week.

She said:“We chatted about everything from writing, finding an illustrato­r/publisher, book layout and the process of getting finished books into bookshops. They asked brilliant questions and were enthusiast­ic about their own writing which was amazing to see.”

Pauline has been in much demand recently.

She was invited to open the new library at Royal School of Dunkeld and spoke about her new book,‘The Fairy Kettle at Christmas’at the Birnam Book Festival last Saturday.
