A 44-year-old man lost the plot with his ex-partner and unleashed a volley of abusive remarks after a confrontation in Bridge of Earn.

Mark Brown then punched the window of her car, Perth Sheriff Court was told.

As he is currently subject to a community payback order, background reports have been ordered before he discovers his fate.

He had his sentence deferred until February 6 after appearing from custody.

But he has been banned from entering Bridge of Earn meantime - or approaching or contacting Eileen Kerr.

He admitted acting in an aggressive manner towards his former girlfriend at her home in Alexander Drive, Bridge of Earn, on December 21 and repeatedly shouting and swearing at her.

Solicitor Pauline Cullerton explained that he is currently subject to 12 months’ supervision, which is due to expire on February 20.

She added: “He also has two weekends left and that will see his unpaid work completed.”

They had been in a relationship for the past year and he had been living at her Bridge of Earn address.

Brown, who works repairing car parks, was bailed to his mother’s home in Rose Street, Dunfermline.

But Sheriff Lindsay Foulis told Brown: “I am totally open-minded as far as the future disposal is concerned.”
