First minister announces cash boost
The controversial Cross Tay Link Road (CTLR) project has been handed a lifeline after the first minister announced a £40 million cash boost for the project.
Councillors had pushed for further funding for the ambitious transport project ever since it was unexpectedly left out of November’s Tay Cities Deal agreement.
Nicola Sturgeon announced the £40m funding boost on Monday, January 7 at Perth College UHI with a further £10m going towards other local business projects across Perth and Kinross as well as Dundee, Angus and the north of Fife.
