TAY LINK PROJECT THROWN BIG £40M LIFELINE

First minister announces cash boost

The controvers­ial Cross Tay Link Road (CTLR) project has been handed a lifeline after the first minister announced a £40 million cash boost for the project.

Councillor­s had pushed for further funding for the ambitious transport project ever since it was unexpected­ly left out of November’s Tay Cities Deal agreement.

Nicola Sturgeon announced the £40m funding boost on Monday, January 7 at Perth College UHI with a further £10m going towards other local business projects across Perth and Kinross as well as Dundee, Angus and the north of Fife.
