TAY LINK PROJECT THROWN BIG £40M LIFE­LINE

First min­is­ter an­nounces cash boost

The con­tro­ver­sial Cross Tay Link Road (CTLR) project has been handed a life­line af­ter the first min­is­ter an­nounced a £40 mil­lion cash boost for the project.

Coun­cil­lors had pushed for fur­ther fund­ing for the am­bi­tious trans­port project ever since it was un­ex­pect­edly left out of Novem­ber’s Tay Cities Deal agree­ment.

Ni­cola Stur­geon an­nounced the £40m fund­ing boost on Mon­day, Jan­uary 7 at Perth Col­lege UHI with a fur­ther £10m go­ing to­wards other lo­cal busi­ness projects across Perth and Kin­ross as well as Dundee, An­gus and the north of Fife.
