Learn a new skill or craft

During the four week course, which runs on Tuesday nights from 7pm until 9pm, Dylan will be sharing his skills to develop artistic flairs, and to help people gain confidence in drawing.

The course begins on Tuesday, February 26 and takes place at Pitlochry High School.

For those who want to try a bit of science, Pamela Foster will be starting up an astronomy club.

She will run a sixweek starter class from Wednesday, January 9, followed by a futher sixweek continuing class from Wednesday, February 20.

The classes, held from 7pm until 9pm at Pitlochry Pavilion, will cover navigating constellations, learning about the solar system, looking at glowing auroras, and the birth and death of stars, amongst other subjects.

Both courses will include practical observing and class-based activities.

Those looking to explore print making can take a class with Ciara Gibson.

Her six week course, starting on Wednesday, January 23 at Pitlochry High School, will look at simple ways to do printing at home using low cost materials, such as monoprint, basic collagraphs, gelli printing and rubber stamping, and helping people to create their own designs for cards, paper, labels and images.

The class runs from 7pm until 9pm on Wednesday evenings and costs £45.

Carol Aitkin will be running a ‘creating healthy, healing interiors’ workshop over 10 weeks.

She will be looking at different aspects of interior decoration and design and how this can be used to enhance wellbeing.

The course runs over two blocks, starting on Thrusday, February 28 and again on Thursday, April 25 in the HPCP office on Atholl Road from 6.30pm until 9pm and costs £70.

Finally, a sewing skills workshop will be run by Ruth Morris of Roobedo.

Starting on Wednesday, March 6, the four week course at Pitlochry High School will look at sewing projects such as altering, upcycling and refashioning clothes.

The course runs on Wednesday evenings from 7pm until 9pm and costs £38.
