Talk will explore Christianity
An interactive talk exploring Christianity will be held next weekend.
Pitlochry Baptist Church will be running‘Alpha’in the Highland Perthshire town’s Escape Route Cafe on Sunday, January 13.
‘Alpha’is a series of interactive talks exploring the Christian faith, with different talks all over the world.
The talks, held in the cafe across the road from the Baptist church, will all include a meal beforehand followed by a DVD viewing and a discussion afterwards.
It is hoped those attending will get the opportunity to ask questions and share their point of view on faith.
A spokesperson for the Baptist church said:“‘Alpha’is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith.
“Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation.
“Alpha is run all around the globe, it’s coming to Pitlochry, and everyone is invited.
“It runs in cafes, churches, universities, homes - you name it.
“No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk (DVD) and good conversation.”
The spokesperson continued: “Starting on Sunday, January 13, Pitlochry Baptist Church is running Alpha in the Escape Route Cafe on Atholl Road.
“It will begin with a meal at 5.30pm, so don’t have your dinner beforehand.
“We then watch a DVD and chat. Alpha will last for seven sessions.
“We believe everyone should have the chance to explore the Christian faith.
Each session runs in the cafe 5.30-7.30pm. Contact www.pbcweb. net/calendar/
