Pupils provide a festive feast
Talented pupils at Blairgowrie High School entertained and delighted audience members at the music department’s festive concert recently.
There was a good turnout at the Beeches Road school for the event which saw pupils show off their skills with a variety of performances.
The evening opened with the choir singing Who Could Imagine a King followed by Ruth Daniell singing I Know Where I’ve Been from the musical Hairspray. There were also performances from the string, brass and woodwind ensembles as well as readings from Callum Dawson and Lisa Fairweather.
The school’s dance group performed routines choreographed by Casey Meager to It Ain’t Me and Just Got Paid, James Bissett, Ellen Coupar and Indira Mayne sang Happier by Ed Sheeran, and S2 pupil Campbell Napier played the Imperial March on saxophone. The evening’s entertainment drew to a close with a moving performance of O Holy Night by singer Amy Higgins and a festive singalong led by the school choir.
