Three folk visitors
Glenfarg Village Folk Club has a band from Canada’s east coast paying members and music fans a visit later this month.
Named Vishtèn, the trio of multiinstrumentalists are flagbearers of the Cajun tradition, with their distinctive fiddle and accordion sound, playing also some mainstream country and blues genres to add to the variety of the evening.
The group, said to redefine the limits of French-Canadian folk, has made five award-winning albums, and the Glenfarg club is delighted to welcome them to the Monday meet in Backstage at the Green Hotel on January 28.
Doors open at 7.30pm, with the music starting at 8pm. Members come in for £7,
