‘Welcoming city’ accolade for Perth Brilliant fourth placing from top holiday website
Travellers are assured of a warm welcome when they arrive in Perth according to Booking.com that they value a human connection when they travel, whether it’s some extra attention to detail or a truly individualised approach to service.

Booking.com also named Sky Lodge, based in the grounds of Perth Airport, as the top place to stay in the city, with the website bosses saying travellers often look for “unique” places to stay.
To be recognised with a Guest Review award, the property has to have an average score of eight or higher from at least five or more reviews.
Customers are encouraged to review their stay after they leave, and can be asked to comment on cleanliness, comfort, location, facilities, staff and value for money.
Lucy Stock, manager at Sky Lodge, said: “We are certainly busy enough we get people coming for business and at the moment a lot of our guests are working on the new roads, but we get a lot of tourists in the summer.
“We also get a lot of foreign visitors as well, because the easiest way to find us is on Booking.com, we have certainly found that.
“To get a Guest Review award was very nice, Booking.com is good at handing out certificates and they are really nice to display.
“I think all of our staff have contributed to making Perth a more friendly place.
“When we check people in we recommend places for them to go, and it depends on why they are here but often people ask what kind of things they can do and they like to stay in the area for a few days.
“We know which places are good to send guests to.”
The list also put the UK as a whole as the seventh best in the world for welcoming in visitors, after Italy, Spain, France, Germany, the USA and Croatia.
