Abused cops

A Perth man was refused bail after appearing from custody at the Sheriff Court, accused of acting aggressively towards police.

Nineteen-year-old William Stewart, of King Edward Street, will stand trial on February 4, with an earlier hearing fixed for January 17.

It is alleged that on January 7, 2019, at Dunsinane Drive, Perth, he shouted and swore at two police officers and challenged them to fight.

He is said to have been subject to three bail orders at the time - June 7, July 18 and August 2, all 2018.
