Two-car morning crash on the A9

Traffic heading for Perth on the A9 was delayed in the morning rush hour yesterday when a two-vehicle accident partially blocked the trunk road just north of the Luncarty turn off.

At least one person was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be serious after the incident at 8.15am between the B9099 and B867.

Police and Scottish Ambulance attended. One of the vehicles damaged was a taxi.

Queueing traffic resulted from the northbound carriageway being shut and vehicles being directed onto the other side due to widespread wreckage and glass.

By 9.15am all lanes had reopened.
