Maybe as well as just saying sorry they could work out a way of making charges in stations lower

“It’s not hard to put on an extra carriage now and then to help.

“I have gone to the station before and the train has been on time then cancelled at the very last minute.

“The hassle of getting a refund is often not worth it.”

Sunny Moody (29) is a videographer who travels through Perth and around the country frequently on trains for work and says instead of extra compensation they should give travellers more flexibility.

He said: “I think that you can book far in advance which is cheaper but then they change the service, or you buy a ticket on the day and get the right train but it’s a fortune.

“I think the infrastructure needs to change but I’m not sure if it will.

“They could make a bit more for your everyday person who’s trying to get around.

“But maybe as well as just saying sorry they could work out a way of making charges in stations lower.

“I think people would understand if the tickets went down on the day and find it a bit more reasonable.

“The Megabus seems more reliable at the moment by comparison. They just refund you straight away.
