Tidyup forpond

Work is being carried out to improve the habitat around Scone Pond.

The village water feature will be closed to the public next week and for the rest of January while workers from Perth and Kinross Council remove vegetation surrounding the island and edges of the pond with machinery.

The council explains all the waste material will be taken away after the essential maintenance is done.

The clearance is designed to make it a better habitat for aquatic insects, swans and other waterbirds.
