One of the most northerly sections of the A9 in Perthshire is set to undergo further ground investigation works.

To make way for Transport Scotland’s ambitious plans to dual the entirety of the A9 between Perth and Inverness, two adjoining sections of the A9 will undergo ground investigations from Tuesday, January 15.

The work is set to take place on the Glen Garry to Dalwhinnie and the Dalwhinnie to Crubenmore stretches of the road, which covers some of the most northerly parts of Perth and Kinross.

Works are expected to last around three months, and traffic management measures will be put in place to allow work near the carriageway to be carried out safely.

This will include alternate single file traffic sections controlled by temporary traffic signals.

Further south on the A9, the next phase of preparatory work begins the same week on the Luncarty to Pass of Birnam section.
