Circuit training to kick the new year into life

-

The Saints Circuit programme will return on Tuesday, January 15, at 7pm in the gym at McDiarmid Park for its first 10-week block of 2019. Throughout this high-intensity interval training, participants have access to weights, battle ropes, steps and trampettes. Our coaches structure and adapt the session to suit the needs of each individual and work to keep you motivated throughout the session. Contact our office to book your place and for further information. WALKING FOOTBALL Are you aged 50+ and looking to meet new people locally? Join us at McDiarmid Park and participate in the sport you love at a slower pace. The rules are simple – the ball should remain on the ground, no tackles from behind and, importantly, no running allowed. Our weekly recreational session takes place every Thursday, 7.30 to 8.30pm. The cost is £4 per session. FOOTBALL MEMORIES Our free Football Memories reminiscence sessions at McDiarmid Park will resume on Thursday, January 17, from 10-11.30am. With the use of player picture cards, team photos and other memorabilia, our sessions are aimed at supporting those who benefit from social interaction by reviving memories from football matches of days gone by. The session is led by a small group of suitably trained volunteers and if you would be interested in supporting this group too, contact us on 01738 459095 for further information. ANDY’S MAN CLUB Your health can be a team sport. Every Monday at 7pm in the Muirton Suite at McDiarmid Park, pop along for a cuppy and a chat without judgment or feeling like a burden. It’s okay not to be okay. SAINTSTEASER Last teaser: The local hero who played for Dundee and Saints among others, was Errol’s Ian Redford, so sadly no longer with us. This week: How many of the current St Johnstone squad have hit the net more times than Steven Anderson?
