Careers event

A careers event promoting work in the creative industries is being held in Perth this weekend.

The Creative Lives 2019 free careers event Creative Lives will take place today, Friday May 3 from 10am until 2.15pm in Perth Concert Hall and Perth Museum and Art Gallery.

Creative Lives brings together a day of workshops, talks and stalls to share information about careers in the arts, culture and design sector.

It has been created especially for S3 school pupils who are thinking about what they would like to do in the future.

The event will give students and their teachers the opportunity to hear from professionals working in sixteen distinct industries including visual arts, music, fashion and textiles, photography and computer games.

Helen Smout, CEO of Culture Perth and Kinross said: “This is an exciting collaboration which will give young people an insight into the many varied creative roles available to them in this fast growing sector which is so key to the local and national economy.”
